Abstract Landscapes in Fabric and Paper
Using photographs as a design source you will colour paper and fabric through a variety of techniques including printing. After producing a number of postcard size design trials, a larger abstract piece will be created using hand and/or machine stitching. A must for all keen textile artists!

We will be making a piece of Nuvo Felt on the Embellisher and then doing some sewing machine stitching. Loan Embellisher machines will be available if booked in plenty of time, but you will need your own sewing machine.

Dyeing Complex Colours
Yes, blue and yellow can make green, but there can be so much more to it than that.
Learn a new colour mixing technique using Fibre Reactive Dyes (Procion Dyes are a member of this 'family'). Create beautiful repeatable complex colours to use in embroidery, patchwork or many other textile techniques, and gain a new understanding of colour along the way.
